"The signature grilled pork rice is nice. But do expect a wait since the place is quite crowded with limited seats. Service is good and food is delicious. And the ambience is great too. Looks like in the 70-80s shop. Like any other Chinatown old shop."

"We came here famished and the food was just superb. The place was quite crowded but we were seated outdoors quite fast. Food was authentic. Service was prompt. The place was quite picturesque infact. We even had a trolley at the side of our table to keep our bags. Tom yum soup was by far the best one I have had in Phuket (and Singapore). Their mango sticky rice was so pretty. Overall we had a very satisfying meal and I would definitely come here if I am in Phuket again."

The location is perfect, right in the heart of the heritage area, making it an easy stop between walks and sightseeing. The food is simple, flavourful, and well done, exactly what you want from a local kopitiam. What really stands out is the vibe of the place. It feels relaxed and welcoming, with a nice mix of locals and tourists, giving it an authentic old-town charm. It’s the kind of spot where you can sit back, take your time, and soak in the surroundings without feeling rushed. If you’re wandering around Old Phuket and looking for a place with good food, good vibes, and a great location, Kopitiam by Wilai is definitely worth a visit."

"Delicious and flavorful Massaman Curry. Iced Thai coffee with tea is an excellent complement to the meal. Ask for less sweet tho. Authentic environment. Good place to eat."

"An amazing restaurant in Phuket Old Town and easily one of our favorite meals there. The food, service, and ambiance all came together beautifully. Kopitiam by Wilai is located in a Sino-Portuguese heritage building, which is such a big part of Phuket Old Town’s identity and adds a lot of character to the experience. The term “kopitiam” historically refers to Chinese-Thai coffee houses that served simple meals, drinks, and desserts, and Kopitiam by Wilai really keeps that spirit alive while serving classic Thai dishes, Southern Thai flavors, traditional desserts, and old-style drinks. We ordered the chicken satay, pad kra pao, and panang curry, and every dish was excellent. The flavors were rich, well balanced, and tasted freshly made. The panang curry was especially comforting and aromatic, while the pad kra pao was flavorful without being overpowering. The chicken satay was tender, well marinated, and paired perfectly with the sauce. The mango sticky rice was a standout dessert. It was not only beautifully presented but also warm, creamy, and just the right level of sweet. It clearly felt freshly prepared rather than pre-made, which made a big difference. I also really enjoyed their drinks selection. I tried the roasted soya milk (nam tao hoo), which was unique and surprisingly comforting, and the lychee soda was refreshing and well balanced without being overly sweet. It’s nice to see such thoughtful and less common drink options on the menu. The ambiance fits perfectly with Phuket Old Town, charming, relaxed, and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and lovely, and service was prompt without ever feeling rushed. Overall, it’s a place I would happily return to and confidently recommend to anyone visiting Phuket Old Town."

"The gai pad ka prao was aromatic, perfectly spiced and packed with tender minced chicken making it a standout comfort dish. The Thai braised pork with rice was equally memorable which is rich, tender, and slightly sweet with rice that absorbed all the flavors beautifully. The café’s décor adds to the charm featuring classic kopitiam styling that’s cozy and inviting. Staff were attentive and friendly creating a welcoming dining experience. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous making it ideal for a satisfying meal in a relaxed setting."

"Good food, good service. We visited because of Thai Drama location (I told sunset about you) but really enjoyed the food. We had Phuket's special Hokkein Me noodles and dessert: O-aew. Love love love"
